I had got these for my new home from DX for around 8$ including the shipping. It took a week time for the shipment to reach me.

@tech4pk, can we have a review? I'd heard from a friend of mine that they installed something similar in their office conference rooms to save power, and this would turn out the lights after a while, so they had to keep moving to make sure the lights did not turn off :P

Yes, your friend is right - the sensor has to detect some motion to turn on (and stay on).
If there is no activity, the sensor will wait x seconds after which it will turn off. This delay is adjustable (knob provided).

By default the sensor works only at night i.e. during day time, even if there is motion, the lights will not turn on. This feature is adjustable (knob provided). User can adjust this setting so that sensor works when totally dark OR adjust it so the sensor works even during little light. The user can also turn of this feature completely via a DIY mod. This way the sensor will work in all light conditions i.e. whenever there is motion - it will work.
The whole purpose is to save electricity, so default behavior is thus set.

I am not sure if all these features are included in the other lower cost products.
Also DX price comparison is unfair. This is pricing in India (after all import clearance). DX price may change depending on customs.

I had installed couple of them, one in the bathroom, one at the door corner of a bed room. So, when someone moves around, then the lights will turn on. As mentioned earlier, if you are standing near by without any movement, then the light will glows off.
But, typically these will be used only for few minutes while we go to the bathroom or walk into the portico.
The following are the few that I had bought (some of them are sound activated also). I have been using them for last 2 months and so far, no issues.

Two-Wire System Wall Mount Sound/Light Activated Light Switch (180~240V) - Worldwide Free Shipping - DX
Three-Wire System Wall Mount Automatic Inductive Switch (180~240V) - Worldwide Free Shipping - DX
