Flipkart & Letsbuy NO MORE offer competitive prices. Search with local dealer & they might beat those prices happily with little bargain.

I think Flipkart is monitoring this thread:

Nevertheless got one for myself from ebay at less than 1690/-. Flipkart if you are reading this, you suck!

When you attach a link of a product from flipkart, they get a pingback URL for the same. It's easy to check about the thread/forum/website and yes they are monitoring it for their own benefits. May be they hired few guys to keep the ping back URL verified and update the price.

BTW: Flipkart you seriously should come up with some other ways to sell your products, coz guys like US don't even both to check your website coz your pricing sucks.

The MR3220 model has WAN failover feature where the router will switch to a backup internet connection automatically.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Is the switching fast? Do you lose connectivity for a long time? Is it reliable?

Comprehensive 3G/ WAN Back-up Strategy

The TL-MR3220 stands out with its 3G/ WAN connection back-up, which keeps users online when one connection fails. TP-LINK's 3G Router provides users with both 3G Preferred and WAN Preferred back-up modes, while other brands provide one or the other. This brings users a high degree of flexibility when users are setting up the networks with considering connection costs and length of downtime.

TL-MR3220 - Welcome to TP-LINK

I am looking for a 3G router for this exact purpose ie to use 3G as a backup incase the wired connection fails. Is the MR3220/MR3420 the best choice or are there any other routers which does this job better?

So I got the MR3220 and it seems to be working alright. I have it set as WAN Preferred. If the WAN, in my case cable internet, loses connectivity, the connection is automatically switched to 3G and 3G connection is established. This process takes around 20-40 seconds. Later when the cable internet is back, it automatically switches back and disconnects 3G. It takes around 1-1.5 minutes for the router to detect that the cable internet is back and make the switch.

It worked fine 2/3 times I tried. In one case, it detected the loss of connectivity, switched to 3G, but it failed to connect. Even after 2-3 minutes it didn't connect and I had to reboot the router after which it worked fine.

Overall, it does the job, but need to be more fault tolerant.
