Hey bro; I too with ClarionDXZ685USB, a little brother of 785..;).. Feel good to have you as Clarion mate :).... Enjoy!

@m-jeri - +1^ mach9 : ...& least but not last; install from good installer/technician only..

Yeah! It's a brilliant HU.. has served me well since 2008.. but of late the problem i seem to be having is the loss of contact between the faceplate and the main unit over hard bumps and that causes the HU to blank out before coming back on... I think its a problem with the soft packing square at the back where the sponge is no longer firm.. im just too lazy to fix it.

Overall it's a great HU.. I just feel bad i haven't managed to do it justice by completing my build.. my OHC is 13years old after all & I just didn't think it'd be worth the hassle for the 5000 odd km i do in a year.

Great! I live with this Master compaining with just coaxial & oval set up-front & rear THx+GTx Blaupunkt speakers. Installed in 2009 with thoughts of upgrades in phases but not really feel to spend more bucks! I wonder how it bang on when connect with high SQ setup-compo+amp+sub (connecting to excl. channel in hu).....woooooo..

Earlier days, i was shocked by seeing it going die & live ... felt pain so hard to have such great HU phenomena...Boommmmmm, its reinstated in original way after just reset by red button over face plate & checking cables from one of the best electromech technician, luckily, i found in my small city...

Done. Will go with a good HU+Components+Wiring+Damping this time around. Let me enjoy it for a while and then will decide rest is required or not.

So guys.. Please suggest items for components(Rainbow or JBL?) and Damping material(dynamat?) and Wrings to be used.

Rainbow ofcourse. It will cost you some money though.
Few other suggestion :
1. Hybrid audio
2. Morel
3. Infinity ref
4. Focal ( if you like treble more)

I am personally using Morels. It sounds great and is not harsh to ears. However my setup includes a JL AUDIO amplifier.

Just to add. Getting a good component speaker is highly recommended. A decent head unit would do. Powerbass, although a decent component will not stand a chance against Rainbow or Hybrid audio

I personally would recommend uou to go for all in one go itself.
Doing it in a phased manner would basically mean that you would need to re- route the wiring again to house the amp and the sub.

As for the components, i do recommend you something but then again it depends on how much are you willing to spend on each particular component.
My advice would be that you should basically try and limit 15 k for the headunit.
Then the wiring and damping would itself cost 5 k.( this depends on the quality of damping used)

This leaves around 15 k to play with for speakers.

Power bass 7 k for front components
For the rear Add any coaxials which compliments the soundstage. 5 k

This would cost you around 32 k. The remaining 3 k you can invest in a better quality damping or better coaxials.
The rear speakers wont matter much as they would basically be acting as fill-ins.

OP, whilst there seem to be a lot of names thrown around, you cannot drive these to potential without an amp. Just connecting to HU will not make ur speakers shine to their full potential.
Fosgate, morel, rainbow will need a good amp to drive them. That stretches your budget by another 8-15k.
To understand what m saying, just head into a place that has a multi amp setup. Hear any brand speaker in A/B, amp on and off. The difference, even with most basic speakers is literally day and night. With everything that you seem to want. you will need a 50-60k budget.
Also i too am a believer when it comes to ICE, that you need to do everything at one go and not keep re-wiring ur car. Its good to keep the cars wiring untouched and ofcourse ensures that you dont void warranty.

+1 for Morel, using them myself as well. They sounded very harsh initially but have mellowed down and sound really nice now

Opinions on these please

components, FOCAL ACCESS 6.5" COMPONENT 165A1SG

4 channel, JBL 4 CHANNEL AMPLIFIER GTO-504EZ

Sub Woofers, FOCAL PERFORMANCE 12" 4 OHM SUBWOOFER SUBP30

FOCAL ACCESS 6.5" COMPONENT 165A1SG
JBL 4 CHANNEL AMPLIFIER GTO-504EZ
FOCAL PERFORMANCE 12" 4 OHM SUBWOOFER SUBP30

Have 2 queries also. Do i have to get 2 sets of components or 1 is enough? I am not getting the point that wether that is for 1 door or 2 doors?
And also. if I get a sub alone... Will the installer guys make a enclosure for me? And what is the port term in this?

Also. What about the wiring to be used? Should i get my own? Or the installer will support any devices i get?

You dont need an amp to drive the focal access. I guess you didnt read my first post properly.
I have the same setup installed in my Honda city. If you going the focal way, get the Focal solid 4 amp. One of the best amps in the market today..

Coaxials - Gonna connect to the existing ones or none
Sub - http://www.purplekart.in/Products/c...CE-12-4-OHM-SUBWOOFER-SUBP30/pid-2584581.aspx

Ported enclosure(Whatever the installer does?) + Wiring(???) + Damping(Dynamat) will be done at the installer.Items selected and source to purchase given above. Any thoughts? All items given above somes to 37K. I think everything will be done under 45k. correct? And I can finish the ICE.[DOUBLEPOST=1379487315][/DOUBLEPOST]Or i will avoid the sub and amp this time. And go with a bit more better components. But will the HU be able to drive it alone.

Or just go for a better AMP and avoid the sub.???

If you go with components, unless you need a lot of bass, you really dont need a sub.
The rear coaxial will need to match the front components in sound signature. In smaller cars it aint very noticeable, but since you have a sunny. the sound difference will be very prominent. Buy matching coaxials in my opinion.
If you are hell bent on a AMP, then chuck the access series cause the performance gain cause of an amp in the access series is nothing that will stand out. In that case go for fosgate or morels or the focal polyglass. I love the focal performance series but then consider ur budget touching 65-70k.
I would avoid jbl or infinity based on your requirement., They are amazing speakers but imho their higher series is better than the basic ones.
Dont take a sub, components are enough when it comes to bass at moderate volumes. Till date i have never been able to cross the half way point on the volume, just too loud.
Ur HU is a 2din basic of jvc. The one i was suggesting is a 2din touch screen lcd. Whilst i know you might never use the dvd nor use the panel for movies, i suggest you get a lcd panel cause a) it completes the cars looks and it looks out right sexy b) fit in a rear camera and the screen will be used as the display.
Ur amp of kenwood is too basic. Dont bother with it. Ard 8k, there are good jbl amps, get one of those or else like i suggested, focal solid 4. Try 2nd hand, you will get one around 10k.
If you are still concerned abt bass, use all 4 components.

There are high frequency components available, ard 15k. Ill pm you once i recollect the name..

Last week bought Focal solid 4 amp + PS 165 components for 25k (for a friend, he was using solid 4 for 4 yrs in the earlier vehicle and wants the same again). It was a purchase from snapdeal with coupons, its not in stock now. Search around, you might be able to find them at the same price.
Get a Dual din with touch screen alone, dont go for those dual din CDs :P. Touch screen will add to the aesthetics of the car and also will be useful to see the album art, reverse parking cam etc.

Comes to 37k

Ported enclosure(Whatever the installer does?) + Wiring(???) + Damping(Dynamat or Dampmat)

Add the cost of this also to 37k. But i hope it will come under 50k, which I am ok with. Already over shooting 10k. :(

Config 2

Stage 1:

Components - http://www.purplekart.in/Products/c...RFORMANCE-65-COMPONENT-PS165/pid-2584475.aspx
Amp - http://www.purplekart.in/Products/c...Channel-High-Power-Amplifier/pid-3186777.aspx

Just these will come to 45k

Wiring(???) + Damping(Dynamat or Dampmat) will be extra.

I am ok with this. But how much will be the installation and wiring will be? Dampmats for a bulk is around 9k itself. It will go above 50k. which i want to avoid.

Stage 2: (If the above is enough I may never go for this)

Get one sub and connect to the above.

I really dont want to spend above 50k in TOTAL. But now it seems i may have to. Please suggest which option to go for. I would love to go with a LCD 2DIN ones, but they are like 25k. :S. And also a carputer project is in the works after this. But that will only happen after come from US in next few months. Planning to get a roof mounted LCD for that. I dont want it anywere near windshield or viewable places, to avoid exposure to "pesky" people. No sun film rule is bad.

HU - Pioneer 2590BT - 18.7k (in snapdeal now), you may get a gray market one and save few Ks more. http://www.snapdeal.com/product/pioneer-avh-x2590bt-dvd-receiver/651192?pos=6;16
Front - Focal PS 165 component - around 13.5k (you need to search around the market for better achieve this price)
Amp - Focal solid 4 - around 13k
Rear - use the existing one for now (if needed you can change it later easily)
Total : around 45k

Dampmat one pack - around 8k, you can get some other materials like noisekill for bit cheaper in the market.
