Whats wrong with icici?
I need to renew my car insurance online on www.icicilombard.com. I have my profile created there. There are all payment options but even though when i select SBI Payment via debit card for, it asks foolish questions like what is the expiry date of debit card and its CVV2/CVC2 Number. My sbi debit/atm card has no such no. Also my SBI ATM cum DEBIT card is MAestro, so even after selecting Maestro on the debit payment option, it still asks for card expiry and cvc nos. which is only explicable to Credit cards.

Can anyone try whether you guys also getting such WRONG option for Debit card payment?

Thx in adv.

My ICICI Visa Debit card and Axis Debit Card, both have CVC number and expiry date. This won't for 99.999% but try filling last 3 digits of your card. May be that will work. Otherwise, contact them directly.

Usually you do not get a CVV number for a normal Debit Card issued from SBI, the Mastero version. Its mainly used for ATM, POS and very rare websites allow transacting using this option of card issued from SBI. In order to get a CVV enabled card, you have to walk into your parent branch and apply for a new YUVA card, which entitles you to do the transaction smoothly. YUVA card is available for anyone who holds an account and aged between 18 - 30 years.

Why dont you use the NET BANKING option otherwise?

SBI now offers an ecard facility like HDFC's VCC. Just log into netbanking goto ecards >> generate one for the money you need. It will be Visa with a CVV and expiry date as well.
