i had a 1rs credit via imps in my savings account from some mobile no, couple of days back. Should i call up the bank and enquire?

I had mutual fund AMCs do that as well. It seems to be a general verification tactic implemented by some financial institutions.

Capital One, which is a major bank in US also leaked data in similar fashion, in the past. A few lines of commands which were publicly hosted on github would let you download private AWS storage of the bank.
