Hello folks,

I'm looking to buy a set of IEM's. I listen to the following genres: rock, soft rock, alternative rock, lots of 80's tracks, contemporary instrumentals (Yanni in particular), and a bit of smooth jazz depending on my mood. I would appreciate if someone can kindly recommend a suitable set of IEM's for the mentioned genre's from the list below:

Soundmagic E10
Tekfusion Twinwoofers
Sony MDR-XB30EX
Sony MDR-XB90EX

Any other recommendation is also fine but I would be ordering from Snapdeal or Flipkart so they should be listed there.

TIA,
Black_Hawk

Sony XB90EX.
You'll not be disappointed, trust me...
Amazing 3D soundstage (although a bit narrow) and excellent bass response.

Kindly note that I haven't heard all of the IEMs you listed....only Sony XB30EX and XB90EX.

@Arjan : Thanks for the reply!

Since you've mentioned that you've heard the XB30EX and the XB90EX can you tell me the noted differences in-between the two in terms of sound quality. Are the XB30's way too overpowering in terms of the bass they reproduce, making the mids muddy?

The XB90EX definitely has an overall bigger presence of bass, than the XB30EX.
They also seem to be a little bit more detailed, and the soundstage is a nice jump from the XB30's, which seemed to be lacking in this regard.

Personally, I never felt the bass in either of these IEMs to be overpowering the mids.

That being said, I'm not sure if everyone could justify the price difference between these two....So, if possible try them out at a local Sony store (I reckon they'll be easily available for demo).

Right then, for the time being I'm going to order the XB30EX and see if I end up liking it. If I do, then I might go ahead an upgrade to the XB90EX a few months down the line if there is a strict need for me to do so.
