We are going to go in for a IFB dryer that's costing around 15k.. Now my question is whether a dryer completely dries out the clothes? It is supposed to dry them 100% and I wanted to confirm it from anyone who has used it..

Thanks in advance! :D

I've not used it - and actually is looking to buy one. But since these dryers use hot air - they should dry the clothes 100%.

They have a fairly big power rating - so what will be the power consumption if somebody uses it for about 1 hour a day?

Can anybody give some input?

Yes, so go find the specs for this dryer and post its power consumption.

I remember using the clothes drier for the first time (not this IFB) and see my XL size t-shirt turn into 'M' after it came out. After that i always used the drier with normal air / light warm but not Hot.

hmmm i have full dryer machine we don't use it for year,

you have load the drum upto 50%

if you dry cloths to keep them it cupboard the dryer had to be set to 90 min

if you load the drum above 50% you get wronged cothes even iron does not remove those crease........

watch your electricity bill shoot through the roof.

a normal 800rpm spin cycle of a normal washing machine around 85% dry and 1hr of sunshine in afternoon is inuff to make 100% dry for majority of the clothes.

Not enough for the coastal areas in the monsoon!!

^ Yes that is the issue. Also, as I'm living in a flat there is no place to dry clothes except in the small balcony we've got. That makes the balcony inaccessible for other recreational purposes.

So, does anyone know if it dries clothes or not? :P

It will not dry your cloths fully. Sunshine is required to make cloths dry and smell free.

In case of insufficient sunshine add 50 ml white vinegar in a wash cycle so that cloth dried under shadow will not smell afterward.
