IGN website scrolling like a slideshow on FireFox 3

Just wanted to know if anyone else experience when you scroll IGN & a few other websites with heavy background work, they just crawl? What's the reason behind this? Is it the format of the website that takes up resources? OR is it the browsers fault?

Its neither the format of the website nor the browser which is at fault but the rendering engine which is the fault.
I think it's Java or Flash. See if u have updated versions of both on ur comp.

Else, this can also happen due to video drivers.

So, first check Java or Flash and then the drivers if the first doesn't work.

Is it the format of the website that takes up resources. Once the pages are fully loaded.. everything works fine.
