ALLAHABAD: In what could be termed a ‘pinnacle of success’ local boy Piyush Srivastava (17) registered a spectacular feat by topping IIT-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) on Thursday.
He emerged third time lucky as his run for success included first rank in All-India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) and ISC examination of ICSE.
He, however, stood second in the UP State Engineering Examination conducted by UP Technical University. Piyush, who earned accolades and adulation for topping the ISC-2005 with 98 per cent marks on May 18 and All-India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) examination on June 3, added yet another glittering feather in his cap by securing all-India first rank in the prestigious IIT-JEE.
The examination was conducted by IIT-Kharagpur. A boy of extraordinary talent, Piyush, who is in Mumbai for a 15-day training at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education for International Physics Olympiad to be held in Spain in July, called up his mother in the morning.
The result was communicated to the family by his father AK Srivastava who is posted in Bahraich as additional regional transport officer.
