Hey guys! I'm just giving you some context.
I have an app, and what I want is that when users download the app they join a group on a messaging app (you know, to create community).
On iOS devices I can do it through the Apple ID and join them to an iMessage group. By doing so, I am reducing friction as I am not explicitly asking for their phone number or email. Now, the question is... how can I apply this into Android? Is there any way in which I don't ask for the email or phone number in order to join them in a group? The group should be in a known platform in the US (idk, WhatsApp, FB Messenger or other platform that they are already using...)
If what I am asking is not possible, what other possibilities are lying on the table? Any ideas?
