@OP: I too am suffering from weak immune system. Been to lots of docs, taken lots of med courses (lasting months) but to no avail. And I take healthy diet & workout.

Guess some people are born with weak immune.
 
Go to a good LAB get a Master health check up consult a doctor eat healthy and youll be all right

if myths are anything to go by ,FAll in love boosts your immune and confidence like crazy

Atleast get a complete blood count done from a good hematology lab.

Have you lost weight in recent months?

#dinjo you mentioned that you get fever which runs away with 1 tablet, there is no disease which is controlled with one tablet.

Either you are misusing the medicine resulting in inadequate and improper treatment, causing relapse of your uncured disease again and again.

Or you are misreporting your problem.

Sometime if you are fatigued then also you get your body temperature elevated by that way your own body system takes more oxygen, remedies fatigue, forces you to take res (which infact the medicine you need) and you recover fast irrespective of medicines.

What I suggest is, follow a regular lifestyle, avoid unnecessary junk food, eat plenty of fruits and juices, drink plenty of fluid. Also dont forget to take a good breakfast. Lessen the intake of fatty food and sugar. Increase the intake of fibre rich food.

Hi Doc ! I know drinking plenty of fluid is a good habbit as it helps to keep our excretory system clean. But I noticed that Doctors always advise it whenever someone have fever or common cold. Could you please explain a bit about the relation between these two ?
 
@Op - Whats your body weight. The best way to increase immunity is to create a perfect blend in your lifestyle.

Start of your day by exercise and you will feel energetic the whole day. ofcourse it will be tiresome and needs will to do it daily (specially when you are lazy) coupld with healthy breakfast such as oatmeal + brown bread.

try drink more water and have meal (fibrous) every 3 hours. Keep this up and you will be fine. A little snack now and then won't hurt but make sure you make up for it in the exercise.

well bro, change your food habits. also do moderate workouts, at home if do not have time, else join a good gym. Stay away from these tablets. Try and include all the essential nutrients in your diet.

Gym won't help in building immunity. Correct way of exercises & Yoga surely would.

Because during fever our body compensates by perspirating and evaporation by skin, which fluid loss you dont notice easily. so you need to drink more water.

also there is concentration of blood components during illness, to counter it and make the body help fight illness fluids are needed.

You may run the risk of electrolytes imbalance which are only available if fluids are there to carry it.

In short Water and fluids are the elixir of life.
 
@dinjo & dragonball - guys even I have same problem from years. Had consulted many doctors & got countless scans, MRIs etc. Immunity is something which builds up as u grow. When I was some 12 year old I got jaundice & a doctor advised me to drink boiled water. I did it for years & that was root of all my problem [told by another doctor]. When u drink boiled water for long run u get accustomed to it & even in slight change in water, u may get fever etc. Body gets used to it. When u boil water, u kill all bad things & ALSO GOOD THINGS. Your body never gets those minerals whenever etc required which are killed when u boil water. Hence boiled water on a long run is not advised. Best is bore well water [if salt level is correct] or Bisleri cans / Aqua guard ones.

My immunity is so crapped even slightest change in water / food habits / climate, I get cold & later fever after a day. I get ill very frequently & it has also affected my studies. 

One more root of problem is bad lifestyle. I never used to sleep more than 6 hours & never used to sleep till 2am - 3am in night. After coming from college I turn on my lappie around 6pm & I never get up till I sleep. Even food also I used to have with lappie ! Not that I am addicted to stupid Facebook & social networks. Just browsing around forums etc etc. NO PHYSICAL WORK AT ALL ! 

From past few months I have changed my lifestyle, food, sleeping habits etc. No, I have not become a He-Man all of a sudden, just recently I recovered from a fever

As I have told earlier, it will take years to build immunity. 

Medpal, Gannu & Logistopath have already given good suggestions, still here are the following I am doing [or trying to do] everyday

1. Drink plenty of water & juice everyday. U have already mentioned u don't like juices and all, but I suggest u to drink anyway like some tonic. Trust me it is lot all better than those crocins & cefixime. Don't drink those from outside juice centres. Drink home made one. And currently it's season of sugarcanes, have it daily. It is really very good ! 

2. Fruits ! An apple a day keeps doctor away

everyday have an apple in morning. 

3. More fresh oxygen intake helps in building immunity. A lot ! For this try to wake up early & go to some park etc where there are more trees & early morning because air will be fresh. U don't need to run / jog, just walking is enough [unless u want to reduce weight] 

4. Wake up early, drink some 2 glasses of water & go for walking. Some 20-30 mins will do. 

5. After coming back from walking have an apple. 

6. Have good breakfast, moderate lunch & light dinner everyday. 

7. Change food habits. Eat healthy, live healthy ! Avoid TV, mobile, lappie etc while having food. Enjoy having food, feel every piece of it. I read Chinese drink every cup of tea as a celebration !

8. Include Sprouts, Raw Vegetables & Fruits in food. They help lot !! 

9. Have a good nights sleep everyday. Try to sleep around 10 so that u can wake up early. 

10. Do some physical work everyday. Every morning do Surya Namaskaar. Start with 3 rounds & try to increase. Surya Namaskaar is the best exercise ! 

11. So 20 mins of walking, 20 mins of yoga & some 10 mins rest after yoga, like Shavaasan [rest is also important !], an apple & lemon - honey water this all would take 50-60 mins everyday. I hope you have one free hour everyday for YOURSELF !

12. There is a pot called Neti Pot / Jalneti Pot. Costs some 100 for plastic one & 150-200 for. Google for how to do Jalneti or consult some yoga expert. He could teach u how to do it. Basically u run stream of hot salt water from one nose & take it out from another [see some YouTube videos] it clears your nasal cavity. Start with doing it everyday for first 15-20 days & then reduce it to twice in every week. U should do it early morning after waking up. 13. whenever u get fever, don't take crocins etc simply. Our body gets so used to it, a condition reaches when u never able to recover yourself without crocins. Next time when u get fever, have a cloth soaked in cold water on forehead. And keep your legs for some 20 mins in warm water for every 4-5 hours. At night note down your temperature & if it is same or increased in morning then run to a doctor. Don't have heavy food during fever, only fruits & juices. Take good rest. I have done this once & actually recovered from fever without any tablets. It good to know immunity is increasing & body can fight off fever on itself. 

Phew ! Such a long post. I may be wrong in above suggestions, but tried my best to give u good effective suggestions. 

Never listened to parents regrading health & having good food, fruits & doing exercise when I was a kid. Now I am regretting for it. But finally I have realised HELATH IS WEALTH. 

I am trying follow what I have said, my immunity is little better. And I am aware it'd take years. 
 
Went to doctor Saturday , they have advised me to avoid cold water for atleast 2 months and on medication now
 
too much stress+anxiety+anger will affect the general health and immunity however healthy a diet you may have

Actually no breast feeding was done to me after 2 months since my Mother was very ill 2 months after i was born
 
Sorry i did not read the whole thread. But if you are getting sick on regular basis and a medicine is enough to cure the same then it looks like addiction.

I had this when i was a kid, used to catch cold every month followed by fever and ending in caugh.. this 4day cycle was consistent for a few yrs when i finally stopped taking the same medicines.

Start off with change in medicine and then resort to using no medicines. You have to let you body fight these effects of fatigue on its own n that is how you build up immunity.

Ofcourse, get your blood tested to ensure a better medical state.

I just want to add that there are some solutions in Ayurveda that help in increasing immunity.

Try the Giloy tablets available at Ramdev shops, or even better drink the kadha made out of Giloy roots.

Giloy are basically, roots growing out of the ground and quite commonly seen wrapped around big and old trees. But you need to know which ones are Giloy. Someone elder in your house will probably know what they are. Or if you need some, i ca courier them to you anyday.

Just cut some of them and the crush them slightly and boil in water till the level of water becomes half and then drink that water.

helps in increasing immunity against common cold and allergic affections that trouble some people at every season change.

Plus, i am wondering if spending too much time in an AC environment also the reason behind you getting sick so frequently. From personal experience i always feel that living in a controlled environment for longer periods of time lead to decreased immunity as our body becomes accustomed to the easier and pure environment and thus become more vulnerable to common ailments.
