Import duty on iPhone from USA (eBay)

I am going to import an iPhone from eBay USA using SnS. On eBay I will be paying 320USD. Once reached customs duty will be calculated on this amount or local iPhone pricing? I am buying a used phone and my friend suggesting me that guys at customs office consider local iPhone selling price (thinking seller may have devalued it to save tax and iPhone is a popular device and customs know the local price which is very high)

Secondly, do I have to instruct anything to the seller? Like attach PayPal receipt on box or mark it as gift or etc?

Most probably you'll be charged 11% on the MRP of the phone in India. Plus shipping and service tax on that obviously.

Custom Duty will be some where around 5500
shipping 1000 and 250 taxes

So all depending on how "good deal" someone gets on an iPhone 6 in USA and whether it is worth it (in addition to losing warranty).

If you are a rough phone user you should get one with warranty. Apple service w/o warranty can be traumatic in terms of cost.
