Mods.

Bladey had this TechEnclave - Announcements in Forum : Market announced a couple of days back but unfortunately to say the least, very few [if not no one] seems to obey the rule strictly; :(

I saw lot of OT posts [in my sale threads as well as others'] stating facts and flaws abt the product [if not boosting the sale, hampering it in some way or the other :(].

I'd humbly request u to keep a track of this;

I've been fed up reporting posts; :( [More often since I see Saiyan in gtalk, I go the easy way reporting it thru gtalk n he clears it almost instantly :) Thanx to u bro;]

OT posts such as intimating the concerned member that the pic is not posted [or in the desired format] is fine [since its better if he posts the pic in a couple of mins preventing the mod from locking the thread]; and not like this product is too good at that price; best wishes dude and such stuff; :(

Some may go that extra mile, dig links and comment this's much better than that product and cheaper and such crap!! [Dont want to quote that member's name here although he knows its him if he's reading this;] :@

Pl take note of this mods; :)

Over n out;

I have to say that I'm guilty , especially about soundcard threads. call it a weakness :ashamed:

Fine as long as u dont crap their sale greenie; :)

Even i point out some wrong comments posted by ppl on someone's threads and correct him if he's wrong on his part;

And if I'm, plead guilty, chuck out myself and report my post ASAP; :ashamed:

Its ok once in a while to post if the product is priced totally out of sync :P

I know byers should find themselves ....but its good to tell them say that at the same price next week u get two times more powerful hardware...is it bad?

I say "NO IT IS NOT"

Money is not bigger than helping ppl. Of course the suggestion should be constructive rather than just criticizing.

I didn't see the OT in ur thread yet but I guess it had to do with ur initial price of 8800GTX at 15k...personally I never care.....if i try to sell my 8800GT nw for 9-10k same will happen telling HD4850 will be 190$ and will be more powerful . Since its the truth let it prevail :rofl:

^ No one minds if there are relevant pointers on something. But the most common thing visible nowadays is intentional crapping. I have not bought or sold much over the market section, but see a lot of this recently. And one can clearly make out ones intentions.

Its soo common that one lazy day I bet on my instincts that if I open certain user - A's thread, another user B would definitely have tried to crap it :) and indeed this was the case.

Cos those were deleted timely; :P

Besides the initial price at 15k [3rd June] was pretty decent as pointed out by a lot of them including Bikey but then the market value of the 2nd hand product and considering that it was bought from abroad, considerably reduces; hence sold off at a lower price; :)

But sticking to the point it not only points to my thread; plenty of others;

^^ Agree Completely.

But the thing is lot of sellers (mesa inluded) price their hardware a bit too high to start off ( lol we Indians like bargaining even as a seller).....finally usually price comes down in almost all the deals :P

Say if you would have priced 12-13k firm to begin with ...might be there would have been much less OT :P

And ya some sellers dnt understand even if its just 1 -2 mnths old, its 2nd hand. PPl will still put up 8800GT for arnd 9-10k level (or even more ) even now , and I am sure they are sure that it is nt the right price to sell that product at that price. All beacuse u may land up with an unsuspecting buyer who might be in knowledge with all the latest updates in the arena and buy and of cuz no one would mind that. All in all contrasting points....but I guess comments never do much bad to a sale. It will fetch the value what you deserve for the product. IMHO 15k would have been quite high for ur 8800GTX and 12k was the sweet point :)....I guess you get the point :)

Oh & yeah I also start off putting a higher sale price but usually never mind thread crapping :rofl:

I always try to sell my stuff higher than the price quoted in the sale thread. :evil:

Speaking in general, people living in glass houses should not ... :P
change clothes with the lights on

Many a times, i sell at lower than the price quoted in the thread, even if the pricing is pretty fair, even if the buyer is cool with the original quote- sometimes free- i like the look on peoples faces when you hit them with a pleasant surprise.

Us moderators can only do so much, being swamped with work and moderation and our personal lives (yes we have it too as much as the next person). Members should take care of avoiding posts that add to nothing but more work for the mods. It's pretty irritating to see posts like "awesome price" "great bargain" etc which can be conveyed via pm. The responsibility of moderation on this site lies as much with the members as the staff.

^^Yup and we do report them often;

But some of dont seem to have noticed the new rule it appears; :huh:

Dont want to create a separate thread to ask this. But why do we need to write the date next to the pic?? I can write whatever date I want!! and Bikey has asked someone to post his cpu-z screenshot with date popped up.. You can change system date too.. whats the whole point in writing the date?? Am I missing something?

simpler rule for cpu's or something would be to create the thread then with that thread's starting date as the background, take a cpuz shot..
