So I was sending an email to someone and as soon as I hit the send button I got the following pop-up.

Got to say that I am impressed with the intelligence they have built into the software. This is perhaps a most needed feature in office mails where it often happens that I send the email and get a reply that attachment is missing.

One can also cancel sending a mail after hitting the send button.

Gmail provides you with that nifty option uptil few seconds after clicking send.

Seriously I wish Outlook had such an option. I do send mails with the attachments missing. Retracting is a pain at times and I happen to forward the attachment later embarrassingly!

yes, this option has been there for quite sometime, and really is a plus!

#Gannu You should try Thunderbird in that case. It has the same option. Even better, IMO. The moment you type "attached" or "attach" or something like that, a small popup emerges from the bottom asking whether you want to attach the file now or later. Nifty.

Yeah that's the drawback. Thank goodness we shifted from an age old Groupwise client to Outlook last year-end.

#bitsandpieces - thanks for that tip! Looks like a simple macro. Will check it out and keep you guys posted.

If possible try this implementing in TE itself.

this should be easily done with a Macro in outlook. i have set one in my office pc's outlook for empty subject line check. if i click the send button and the subject line is empty it prompts me. easy find on google.

Gmail had this option in the LAB section of mail settings for over a year now. It's been a face saver for me multiple times.

Just for testing purpose and then remove it. But it will be handy if we are sending pm to someone referring him to the attachment and at last moment hurriedly shoot the pm without actually attaching anything. So it will work the way it works in gmail.
