In-game menu selection/cursor problem in PES 09

Hi, I just installed PES 09 on my PC & the problem I'm facing is that the cursor in the menu just scrolls down to the very bottom of the options, without me touching any key. Any attempt to bring it to the upper options by pressing the Up arrow key leads to a struggle for control.

The Enter, Left n Right arrow keys work fine [Cos I'm able to exit the game by pressing these keys].
I don't have any other controllers plugged in. The configurations for the keyboard [found in the installation folder] are set to default.

Run settings.exe from the PES 2009 installed folder. Try mapping the down key to some other key on your keyboard. If that fixes it, it could mean your down key is stuck/faulty.

(Also, get a joy-pad to play PES. The way it's meant to be played. )

Re-mapped the keys. Still no joy.

Problem solved automatically after a few reboots :hap2:. Dunno what was causing the conflict but I'm sure as hell hoping it doesn't crop up again. Ciao.
