India-Pakistan current war like situation discussion (Pahalgham)

I have seen the random twitter account -> Indian national news channel pipeline operate in real time. Everytime something stupid happens in India people like iyermitra will come up with some 69D chess high IQ explanation for it. It's not that complicated. Same old Indian media incompetence.
He's actually takjng a direct shot at a leftie talking point. Which is what people are self flagellating over for the last page.
They have no reputation to lose anyway because no one with half a brain expects them to be reliable anyway.
The western media is actually worse as pointed out

And surprisingly globally coordinated to put out the same talking points on the Ukraine conflict

That part about the "poor pay" was mentioned matter-of-factly. Didn't intend to steer the conversation into the direction of morality and duties. Also, you seem to have confused two sets of people - the journalists or reporters (for laypersons) on the ground who are drafting the reports and the bosses at the top who force them to produce such stuff. Both are two distinct sets of human beings. In any case, I understand your sentiment and what you are writing about is a discussion for another day. As a former poor journalist (and still poor person) myself I would be happy to talk about morality and other such lofty ideals. However, just to set the record straight, the folks who run the media networks are neither poor nor suffer from lack of appreciation. They are simply morally bankrupt and it is business and profits first for them.
I too understand your points and where you are coming from, but I would still not excuse the common poor journalist who is also part of that machine. One cannot hide behind poverty or job struggle while murdering ethics and truth in the same breath. If that is your first priority, find another career. No one is forced to do any jobs. People are paid to do many unethical things in the world, and not just crimes, many of them legal too. They are not immune to criticism just because their lives are hard. No one should be excused that way.

Anyway, we are far off-topic, so this my last response on the subject. Got your point but agree to disagree.

SO now we live in a world where blatant lie peddling is termed as "POSITIVE AUXILIARY ASSISTANCE"!!
Not sure whether I find that deeply disturbing or mildly amusing!
In the event of a conflict yes.

We've always lived in such a world btw during a conflict.
and no, whatever stupid psy ops this moron is referring to is psy ops on regular indians like us...
Same answer as above.

National security depends on it and there will be no two opinions over this!
what pakistani would watch our gutter trash news channels when even we can't
Watch their news channels and you will know

You will be surprised how many well educated and well travelled and well off people still watch Arnab Goswami's Republic.

Sometimes I think many people don't care about truth anymore they just want to hear what they like.

Anyways we might end up detailing. So my last thought too on this.

Objectively false. I would not even trust Indian media for most Indian news at this point.
Because you're in the opposition.

I'm not and make no secret of it.

Match the media to the government of the day is my mantra and you will know what the government wants and is doing.

I've never been interested in unbiased or so called neutral because it's watered down. Why would I waste my time with them

I'm watching western coverage and bloggers and you can see the delays in their grasp of what's happening In this conflict.

I'd only followed Israeli media during the conflict there. I knew exactly what the people of that country think and want. I don't care what random westerners think.

Same here.

By denying your own you make yourself an easy mark. Open to manipulation and you will be ;)

There are many sources. Pick a few and stick with them. I've posted who I follow on YT already.

Depends on your stand on who is worse ; a moron or a scoundrel.
All news is biased, it's foolishness to expect "unbiased" news. At least reading western media from various viewpoints allows you get a good picture of what is going on. Consuming Indian media can not even do that. Moronic news outlets can't be used for deliberate misinformation when the time comes.

Just see how western media trot out Pak talking points

This next one is really blatant. Why say it? Literally the objective of the Pahalgham attack

Nothing new here. It's only of late with our rising stature that the governments of these western countries have come down on our side. This is a very important point. Governments.

Not their media. Their media doesn't count and will continue talking crap.
Give me one factual news that Indian media reported before western media last night. Just one.
Any number of government sources. But see you don't like that right.

Here is one I posted earlier

Their media is doing what they were doing from last 20-30 year, what happend with our media. Our private news media outlet are doing circus and making mockery on Indian people and their intelligence. Someone seating in west will not find any difference in Ind and Pak media.

Indian govt. didn't provide enough support and funding on National News. Just looked at those state sponsored news channel ALJazeera, BBC, CNN. Why we failed to built an international level news credibal agency.

This doesn't even include the other fake news about Karachi port as well as Asim Munir being arrested for treason, articles related to those were either revoked or corrected but they were still posted.
Enforcing people's delusions of grandeur or giving anxiety for an entire night to an entire populace glued to their tv's just for trp is uncalled for.

The average westerner assuming any interest in the topic is going to follow what their media says.

Only those interested or knowledgeable about the region will follow regional media. Not to mention they would need to be bilingual as well.

WION was the first at it

I don't follow Zee News How close would you say they follow the governments line?

I have no idea but also don't think they're opposition.

Apparently these were struck with SCALP missiles. They carry a 400kg warhead and for a cruise missile have a CEP of 1m :nailbiting:

Do you notice how the Paks aren't complaining too loudly about collateral damage? When they do it's quickly pointed out that men in fatigues are also present at the funerals of known terrorists or its known terrorists doing the last rites. They are in effect giving terrorists a state funeral. Nothing is hidden. No better self 0wn than that.

Our guys got this one right
The owner has run for RS elections twice backed by BJP.
So that's your answer then. Keep doing what you're doing
