India-Pakistan current war like situation discussion (Pahalgham)

I am curious on what effects will this have on the livelyhood on other boarders of our country, I would like to know your insights (I guess China's action or maybe even Bangladesh?)

Some unauthorized News on youtube, Pakistan in talk (or may be sold) it's nuke weapons' to Turkey & Iran for cash.
I think they already sold to Turkey, as there is news that Turkey Army Cargo plane & Turkish Navy warship docked at Karachi Port few days before.

Apparently, Pakistani media are fooling their citizens with doctored images and fake articles that Pakistan retaliated by striking Srinagar Airport. And the civilians are posting that with pride. Need more credible sources, though.

Hehe no chance. But China will send supplies to their 'iron brother'.
I understand that sentiment when we compare defence capabilities. But both India and China can't afford a full scale war. China's economy is already weak and they are stimulating. And China is focusing its entire political capital towards Taiwan and would not want too much India distraction. They are already trying with stirring labour unrest in our tech manufacturing plants using the communist parties. That is why I mentioned "skirmishes".

In the current environment they can't afford much for their "iron brother" :playful:

What is a neutral source of news for such happenings? Everywhere I checked it sounds like propaganda from either sides or even Western sites seem less credible with their muddied intentions. Where can I confirm if IAF lost jets or not? Indian govt brief did not take questions and haven't confirmed anything. What are they waiting for? This just fuels the other side's propaganda.

Image showing IAF MiG-29 crash is from 2024

An image of MiG-29 is being widely circulated with the claim that “Pakistan has shot it down”. This claim is fake as the photo of the crashed aircraft is from the year 2024. PIB stated, “The image is from an earlier incident involving an Indian Air Force (IAF) MiG-29 fighter jet that crashed in Barmer, Rajasthan, in September 2024.”

Hahha burnol moment for kashmiri subreddit (BTW it's pakistani subreddit) just like r/India.

yes its true there will be "mock drill" on 7th on many states i think its a good thing for us to be prepared on what to do even though a war happening chances are non existent
Yes, it would have been a good thing. But declaring a drill makes no sense without the prerequisite preparation. Just one example : my city is one of the places of mock drill. If there is a siren, as per media reports, we need to go to a bomb shelter/bunker.

But we (I and the people nearby) have no clue where there is a single bunker, in a thousand km radius. Imparting the information about bunker location during the drill, in case anyone was going to suggest that, is a recipe for disaster. Even a thousand people suddenly reaching an unprepared place can cause a stampede. Here, it can be a much larger number.

United States: The U.S. urged restraint to avoid escalation, with President Donald Trump commenting, “It’s a shame - I hope it ends quickly.” National Security Advisor Ajit Doval briefed U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the strikes, emphasizing their precision and non-escalatory nature. Indian-American Congressman Shri Thanedar supported India’s right to defend itself.

Israel: Expressed strong support for India’s right to self-defense, aligning with India’s anti-terrorism stance.Russia: Backed India’s “anti-terror resolve,” earning India quiet respect for the operation’s precision.

France: Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot acknowledged India’s need to protect itself from terrorism but called for restraint to avoid escalation and protect civilians.

United Arab Emirates (UAE): Urged both nations to exercise restraint, de-escalate tensions, and avoid further conflict.

China: Remained largely silent but, along with Turkey, described the strikes as “regrettable,” aligning with Pakistan while maintaining caution.

Pakistan: Condemned the strikes as an “act of war,” with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vowing a forceful response at a time and place of Pakistan’s choosing. Pakistan reported civilian casualties (eight dead, over 12 injured) and claimed to have shot down two Indian planes and a drone. The Pakistani military targeted civilian areas along the Line of Control, killing three Indian civilians.

United Nations: Secretary-General António Guterres expressed deep concern about the military operations, calling for “maximum military restraint” from both India and Pakistan, warning that “the world cannot afford a military confrontation” between the two.

Karma's a b**ch, what a deluded individual.

"Ten members of my family were blessed with this happiness together tonight... five are innocent children, my elder sister, her honorable husband. My scholar Fazil bhanje (nephew) and his wife and my beloved scholar Fazilah (bhanji) ... my dear brother Huzaifah and his mother. Two more dear companions," he said, saying that those killed have become the guests of Allah.

On similar lines when everyone asked Russia, Israel to show restraint...
Let's see where this goes now.
And how world reacts.
It is ain't that simple no matter how much pur politicians keep saying getting POK is long road and miracle is needed.
1. It goes the way India wants
2. World will preach restraint (Already see above post). Turley will back Pak via backdoor. Russia, US, Israel will back Ind via backdoor. China will only do lip service, may give token help to Pak.
3. POK will follow the way of Ukraine, Gaza.

Measured response from the Chinese foreign office. Not taking any sides

The Paks confirmed our jets never entered their airspace so how can we lose any then. I don't believe we lost any jets.

A drone or more however is credible
Loitering Munitions and Small Quadcopter drones the likes of Russian-Ukraine war to drop bombs were used so those most likely reports of Akash also being used to down Jf-17

Listen to what Trump said

Or Rubio

I'm not reading restraint in either of those statements

If it turns out Rubio has said so then it's directed at Pakistan
