The tablet was introduced to the public by Kapil Sibal, the Human Resource Development Minister in NDTV's gadget guru, and is expected to release by mid-2011, selling 1 million units to students and educational institutions by the government; it is subsidized to $35 each.

Expected Features:

* Expected to be available in three screen size variants: 5-inch, 7-inch, and 9-inch
* Runs Android OS
* processor around 1GHz
* powered by a 2W power supply
* 2 GB RAM
* USB port
* Bluetooth,Wi-fi,
* Video out, SD card slots and SIM card slots for 3G connectivity
* Camera (no info about pixel)

The tablet computer will support web browsing, video conferencing and word processing

Indian government is aiming to bring the cost down to $10 !!!

a snapdragon seems unlikely in that price range unless government has highly subsidized it....lets c what it can do when launched
 
Looks wicked for $35. I'm sure there will be tons of homebrew OSes that'll greatly enhance functionality. And 3G will be the icing on the cake!
