Did anyone watch the hockey match? I am no expert but the passes made by our Team at times were really bad. We even had more chances at the goal than the Dutch.
 
Yep, they were too desperate to get the ball through. Dutch were great in midfield. Sardar was always up against 2 or 3. Indian defense was caught napping so many times. I also thought Shivendra had 2 chances towards the end after the Dutch had scored the 3rd goal.

But overall not bad. Team which just managed to qualify this year, had missed out last Olympics gave the 3rd best a run for their money.

Saina was in a mood to wrap things up quickly, 30 minutes, game over.
 
2nd game bro. Yesterday she was on at 11 pm against Belgium. Straight sets.

Edit: I understood what you were trying to say on the 2nd read, yeah that first match was faster.
 
Anyone watching the hockey match now. Whats up with our goal convertibility. Opposition seems to be good at converting and our guys seem good at messing opportunities.
 
This isn't 1950 what are you expecting,NZL 3-1 IND,That's the score with 8min to go.Too many good teams in the group it's very difficult to even get a draw.

Sania is out from the Gold race. Only chances are for a Bronze tommorow... In the women's single badminton at olympics.

Worth noticing was that 3 out of 4 semifinalists are Chinese.
The quater final match was superb. first set she was always on the lead but 2nd set was tough. At one point Saina was lagging behind almost by 4-5points. She took 5straight points and then quickly took the lead for some time.
The second set was a close one with even luck favoring her.

Saina Nehwal gets Bronze Medal cause her opponent couldn't continue the game and retires from the match.Still great achievement for saina her first olympic medal.:)

Good that Saina went to check on her opponent the 2nd time.
 
oh yaa she was a tough opponent. She made Saina run in every corner and played her at her will....
But this game had some of the best rallies in the entire series...
Saina was just not at her best... she was looking frustrated and dehydrated....

Krishna Punia is playing for the finals tonight at 11:30pm IST. Lets hope she can bring home some glitter :)
 
Exactly,The Chinese girl who defeated saina is getting outclassed by another chinese player in the final,The Chinese woman are demonstrating the masterclass.

Ya Yihan is trailing in the first set at the hands of other chinese... and both of them look like school kids... lol
And Indian's cheer like crazy... Never heard any other country getting such vocal cheering at Olympics :D

Does anyone know what the chinese player Yihan is wearing around her neck in the finals match?? Its a white neck band with some kind of pad on it??
