Indiatimes email service down from 13-17 sep

Got this notice in my inbox that indiatimes email service will be down from the 13th - 17th of Sep. to make some improvement in their service. :O

Wonder what would have happened if they had a user base like google or yahoo. - full month down or maybe full year. :rofl:

Otoh, is there a way to get emails off their server instead of downloading one by one. last time something like this happened, the inbox showed 0 items after it came online and there were no old mails. then after some mails to their support it came back in a week or so.

They have an email service since long. IINM, they were the first to give a 10 MB email limit - a novelty 6 years back.

Indiatimes email service was once very famous, but I really doubt if anyone is still using their mail service.
Rediffmail is best Indian free email service provider.

AFAIK They had bulk forward in e mail. Just try that
P S : I Never liked their service. Too many spam mail ruining the experience.
Gmail is much better. Better spam detection,....... Etc. Many features to pwn indiatimes mail service.

Yes, too much spam from indiatimes/partners itself. When Gmail came, I forwarded all my mail. Monitored my account for 4 months then stopped using it.

You can use the Mail Fetcher option in Gmail to import all the mails into Gmail.

Its a bit slow, will take a day or two for the whole process to complete depending on mail volume.

India-times had 10mb space whereas others used to have at max 5mb.

And they used to advertise we provide double the service .They used to have front page advertisement.

But lot of spam.

Errr really doubt that. The best "Indian" mail service I've found is @ zoho.com
