MTV Multiplayer discovered the new, non-electric powers during a demonstration.

MTV mentioned a wall of ice to boost the power of force push, and an oil power that drains life from nearby enemies.

While the new powers are normally restricted to NPC support, Cole will occasionally be offered a one-time-only chance to obtain one of these new abilities for himself. Choosing between two options seals off the other forever.

As in the first game, Cole’s appearance will morph depending on his actions; in this case, choosing the “good” option, Kuo, will create an heroic auro, while the “bad” Nix will give our protagonist an evil image.

Sucker Punch revealed an upgraded karma system for InFamous 2, which sees two NPC’s accompanying Cole on his journey and offering suggestions as to how he might proceed.

Beta Lands for PSN Plus Users on 12th April and 19th April

inFAMOUS 2 UGC beta: Emails, containing voucher codes to download the beta from the Store will be sent to selected PS Plus users on 12th April and again on 19th. Users have been selected based on a few criteria including what inFamous trophies they achieved in the original game.

What the hell is wrong with Cole's voice? I understand they gave him a new look, but has the voice actor changed as well? Sounds awful. Trailer looks good though.

Yeah and i don't know why they even had to change the look... Old one looked and sounded okay too i guess.
 
My vision must be deceiving me, but where did you guys spot an "enormous" boss in that trailer?

On a side note, the combat seems extremely robust this time and the frame rates are really stable. Good stuff!

But I have to admit, the trailer was awesome. The shitty graphics persist though. :P

Its not * that* shitty... plus its an open world game so its okay acc to me.... :P

Hate to break it to you, but IT IS. Except for the lighting effects, take a close look at everything else in the world, it's completely dull.
 
Actually that's the game environment demands definitely a city with post apocalyptic effects wont have everything bright in the area, i may be wrong since the story is still not known yet.
