yea man I dont think all this policing required @ all, we r not spammers, I m getting used to infraction etc now, what can I do ? It only helps me to be mentally prepared for ban.
Shouldn't the level of moderation be based on the sensitivities of the majority users of the forum? I don't see how my post (which was only a joke) could harm this forum or any of its members in any way. Even the guy who's desktop we were laughing about was fine with it, so I don't understand why the moderators have a problem with it. Maybe they're trying too hard to impress?
And also, it was a 4 point infraction and instead of a message like "Keep it clean
" which is what one usually expects from TE mods it was just complete and utter BS.
(Now give me another 4 points for saying BS mate. Might help you move up the administrative ladder, and afterall the 5 year olds on this tech forum would learn a bad word, so let's do them a service).

Tell me something seriously, Do you really wanted an answer to your query or you wanted to do something else like what you did in the above mentioned post. Had it been a newbie i would have just closed the thread directing him to read the rules. But you have been a old member (apart from a good friend) that's why i chose to answer.
Anyways, If you still feel that you did not deserve it then PM the Admins as i am sure you are no longer interested in talking to mods other then passing unreasonable and rude comments.
I keep saying this quite often : Infractions are just a formal warning - you're not being fined, you're not being put in jail, etc - and you should look at it as such, so why get upset 
And even though multiple infractions can pile up points and automatically ban you, unless you're a spam-bot or a real troublemaker the mods will generally ensure that does not happen.

Even I got a infraction of 3 points for posting "reps would be appreciated" in a post I did not knew that reps cannot be asked in the forum and darkstar gave me an infraction of 3 points which will expire on 21st may,its not fair.
@crazy_eddy Even u gave me an infraction for hot linking images but that was completing fair as it was a 0 point infraction and expired in three days.
But the infraction given by darkstar is not fair at all he shd hv atleast warned me before giving infraction

hotlinking is the process by which one links to an image stored on one site yet it appears on one or more other sites. If done without permission, this is considered unethical since one is running up a bandwidth bill on someone elses tab.

SHEESH why cant people read and UNDERSTAND whats written???
TBHP? comeon. Is the infraction displayed on tE? Do the mods write in BOLD letters why they are infracted and letting all the public know and therefore the humiliation? NO.

An "infraction" over here looks more of a negative rep rather than a formal warning. One can call a mod's PM as a formal warning- same goes for giving moderator warning on post. But if you see TE's infraction- I think its also considered as warning. I dont see anything wrong. Mods are doing their best to keep TE run like a well oiled machine and I do agree to what the mods have mentioned here. Take it as a feedback. Even if its a negative rep most of us know each other. So take it lightly.
All those people crying about 3/4 infraction points need to look at me, I got an infraction of 9999 points :lol: but am still alive :lol:.
