First of all, let me make it clear that Insomniac is a 100% independent development studio. Sony has neither endorsed nor authorized what I’m writing here.

Hehe! Yeah right. Remind me again has Insomniac ever made any games for anyone other than Sony. I bet you can guess the answer to that.

The Wii is a fad.

That is the point all credibility of the author went out of the window. That "fad" is outselling your console to the point of embarrassment. I bet the guy thinks the DS is a fad too.
 
Half of his points are ridiculous but half of them make sense. All in all, I can't take this seriously considering it's coming from one of Sony's lapdogs.
 
Yeah thats true....but I seriously agree wid him....that Wii is a FAD....People will get bored...after playin wid their Wii-Chuks...U tell why will u play a game standing in front of TV, when you have a well comforted sofa to sit & play...Dumb Moves for me atleast...
 
I think the Wii is fad too, but only because I feel Nintendo is the only one who'll make good use of the Wii-chucks or push the hardware with their games which is certainly the case so far, and even that will not happen at an often enough rate to keep the gaming audience's attention for too long.

As for your question, arcade games like Dance dance revolution and Sega's Bass fishing were absolute hits, so there's no reason a game that forces actual movement on your part wouldn't do well.
 
i personally wont pick up a wii... sorry any console which makes me move and get tired is not for me...might as well go out and play ....gaming is more of crunching buttons and not start sweating...

Hey, I know. I'll form a general conclusion on how well a console will do based on my personal likes and dislikes. Oh wait! You already went and did that.
