Couldn't fit it all into the title. I just installed Windows 7. The computer can't detect my wireless network adapter. I know my wireless network adapter is working fine because I was able to detect it using software that scans your computer and tells you what hardware you have. Now I have the driver of the wireless network adapter but it is .sys file, meaning I need to right click the device and select 'update driver' to install it. The problem is because my computer can't detect it I can't go into device manager and right click it because it doesn't show up. So how can I install my wireless network adapter?

Which chip does the WLAN use?

Win update works fine with most driver issues. You can also try downloading latest driver from the manufacturer's site.

Also, do not open multiple thread for the same query - when you have posted once just be patient and wait for the members to reply.
