Hi guys,
I formatted my computer, and installed xp proffesional in e: by mistake,is there any way to rename it as c: or anything else??

Your ideas are highly appreciated..

It doesnt make a difference if the drive is called C: or E:

Anyway,
Rearranging the drive letters is simple.
Go to control panel (classic view)> Administrative tools > Computer Management> Storage> Disk Management(local)> right click on the drive letter you wish to change and select "Change Drive Letter"

Screen-shot:

Hope that helps.
PS: If its bothering you because E: is bigger than your C: then try resizing the partitions using: GParted -- Live CD/USB/PXE/HD

changing the driver letter will cause problems with the file paths IMO..

you can change the Non-OS drives .. thru diskmanagement MMC but.. the OS drive wud be a prob.

jus reinstall in C drive..it doesnt take that long.

usually what evr drive u pick for the OS gets named to C: .. thats what happns in multiboot OS type.. strange .. huh
