Installing iphone SDK on Mac OS through VMware

Hey Guyz I have Windows 7 as my installed os. I have installed iatkos snow leopard 10.6 on VMware workstation 7.

My query is that I have a iphone sdk and xcode dmg file downloaded on my pc(windows partition), so how can I now move this dmg file to my mac partition thru VMware or install the same dmg file in any other way?

There is a way to share directories in VMWare with the host OS. I tried using that but was not successful. Instead of wasting time on making it work, I got a portable HDD and transferred the data using that.

Use a portable HDD/Pen Drive. I am assuming the USB ports are accessible in VMWare.

Forget about sharing directories or using a pen drive/hdd. The easiest way would be to use the virtual optical drive feature.

Go to your Virtual optical drive settings and from there you can select a source iso for the virtual drive, by default there is a filter for iso files, but you can change it to "All files" and load a dmg file from there. Enable the virtual optical drive and the contents of the dmg will directly appear under the corresponding optical drive mount in your Mac OS guest. You can quickly install XCODE from there.
