Storage Solutions installing new / harddrive

i need help installen one of these harddrives

my friend hook it up with these

and i dont know how to install them

when i try to install one of them it start to make a clik n noise {annoying}

and it always restart and restart

i need help i wanna learn how to installthem properly

one of them is a 15 gig its the {ALL SILVER ONE that one is 15 gig

it belong to my old computer which we upgrade to xp }

and the {black i dont no bout that one that the new i got from my friend}

If the drive is making clicking noises, its probably on its deathbed. Not worth wasting ur time on it.

Just connect both ide and power plugs such that the red wire of power cable and the red line of the ide cable are facing each other . . . . and reboot. The darned thing shd work fine. If there are any master/slave settings to be done that you are not aware of, please ask here.
