institute for certification help :(

Im in my final year engg IT and want to certification course in php or dot net..need help from ya all experienced to know whats the latest trend in IT and from which institute i should do certification (mumbai) i will be doing certification along with my final semester..
urgent guys need to inform my parents within couple of weeks

Explore NIIT Karrox etc in your area, or the smaller ones in case you have a tight budget. Since you are in final year, you will also need to check the class timings as it should not clash with your standard college or classes.

Certification from even a large institute has not much value now.
What you must be looking for is a Sun/Java or such MNC certification, for this you can attend any relevant course that meets the objectives defined in the exam and buy the corresponding voucher at a prometric or such center and give the exam. On passing you will have a proper globally valid certification on the topic. Remember also that there are various levels as well, and right now you may probably just cover the base level(s).
 
...and end of the day only your real knowledge matters rather than any certificates which are just a formality for your qualification.
 
Now dont join any average institute which just loot students of money with tons offering in their brochures or pamphlets and in the end student just end up studying just basic and bit medium stuff and believe they have learnt it all.
So join a well-known institute where you will actually get hands-on much of the stuff and upon your course completion you'll happy to progress further with the quality knowledge you possess. Thus, this knowledge can help you earn Industry standard certifications as well.
