CPU/Mobo Intel DH61WW Motherboard burnt audio jack

I am using Intel DH61WW motherboard and 3rd gen Intel i5 processor, Due to high voltage in my house my onboard audio port is lightly burnt, from then when i plug the audio jack there is no audio , but my front audio port is working fine...

So i m planning to buy a new mob, pls suggest a new one....

Hopefully your PCI slot will be free, sound card can go there. It will likely have better sound quality than your motherboard. Changing motherboard is too much trouble and expense for just a sound card. If you use windows, it might crib about hardware changing while activation on new motherboard - you might even have to re-install.

@amitkher my motherboard is in warranty, can i claim warranty for this lightning attack... is it possible..

If they figure out it is lightening, they might refuse. But if it is not difficult to try , sure try it.
