I dont know why you are spamming everywhere with the same topic(Vinuthomas included) but I would recommend you to go with Intel 975X BadAxe . go with Chieftec cases . or go with Antec if u have the moolah .. yea go with Antec NeoHE 550W which is around 6K I believe ..

and dude if you run out of IDE ports , you can always buy a PCI expansion card .

If what you have in mind is to get a mobo with two sockets, then as far as I know, the regular desktop processors are not dual processor capable. only the xeon series can do that. others might correct me if I am wrong on that point.

so eliminating that, I will assume that you will want to upgrade to a dual or quad core Core 2 processor in future. In that case, you should look at the 975 series board like broar94 suggested. though PATA support will be limited as is the case with all recent Intel based boards, you will be able to add a lot of SATA drives. you will be able to increase PATA HDD by adding a PCI addon IDE controller.

As for cabinet, the cheiftec cabinets would do fine and do not cost a fortune.

comming to the PSU, if you really intend to add 6 HDD and you also have a High end/ mid range GPU then Antec TP Trio 650 (9.2k) should be the way to go. If you do not have a high end GPU, but only want to add 5~6 HDD, then Antec Trio TP 550 for 7.3k is fine. If you dont have that many HDD either like say you have 2~3 and a high/mid range GPU, then Antec Neo HE 500 should be what you are to look for. The price for Antec Neo HE 550 that broar94 gave is incorrect and its actual price is 8.2k.

If you are really serious about the number of HDD, then let me warn you that you should go for a high end and reliable PSU like the Antec Neo 500/Trio 550 and above. If you use a regular lowcost PSU's you will run the risk of not only frying the PSU, but also the HDD and other components.
