Hello, I Will Be Updating My System In A Few Weeks . The Confusing Part Here Is Whether To Go For Amd Or Intel. Because Nowadays Some People Prefer Amd, Than Intel.

And I Heard That Dual Core In Intel Is A Failure Since There Are Some Thermal Problems. Is It True ?.

In Case If I Go For Intel 915gav + 3 Ghz ht 800fsb And Put 7600gs Graphics Card Will The Latest Games Play Faster.

( I Heard That 915gav Is A Very Excellent Motherboard And I Heard That Dual Core Is A Failure , So If I Go For The Above Processor Is It Ok ?. Since I Am Going For A Good Graphics Card I Think That The Above Processor Is Sufficent. But I Fear That The Rate Is Very Low In Lga 775. So I Am Wandering Whether I Will Get A Good Performance As The Older One (478 Pin 3ghz 800mhz Ht Processor )

Or Else If I Go For A 946 Or 965 Motherboard + 2.8 Dual Core Will It Be Better ?

Or If U Recommend Amd Plz Tell Me Which Config To Go At Cheap Price (board = < 5000, Processor = < 6000 )

wrong section mate.....this is gfx .... btw....for ur querries

if u r in low budget AMD makes more sense.... yesthe older pentium D were crap wid thermal issues....however CORE 2 DUO is in adiffrent league altogether ..however for ur budget mayde u can sqeeze in a x2 3600+ asus am2 board...

let the experts give a veiw ..btw

It would help if you clearly specify what components you intend to buy and what you intend to carryover from your existing system. For eg., if you are using DDR rather than DDR2 it would certainly limit your choices.

With that Processor Budget the only option in Intel is Dual Core, which you yourself said is crap so don't go for it, the remaining choice is AMD and as HUMMER mentioned AMD x2 3600+ would be really helpful and the motherboard need not be ASUS even Gigabyte or MSI both are a tad lesser than asus would hold your fort for now.

IMO it will do a whole world of gud if u r able to exceed ur proccy budget by 2 k and get urself an Intel C2D E6300for arnd 8-8.5k and this wud be much better than anyof the options that u wud be thinking of in this range.. couple this with a MSI 965F Neo for arnd 6-6.5K and u will have a somewhat future proof combination for the next 2 years ... else if u are on a really rigid budget , go for the AM2 3600+ with a good AM2 based

On a tight budget you can try the following Config:

1. In case you don't have a Graphics Card

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+ (Rs. 5700/-)

MSI K9NGM2 Motherboard (Rs. 4200/-) or ASUS M2NPV-VM Motherboard (Rs. 4700/-)

Corsair 512 MB DDR2 RAM 533/667 MHz

2. In case you have you own Graphics Card

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+ (Rs. 5700/-)

MSI K9N Platinum Motherboard

Corsair 512 MB DDR2 RAM 533/667 MHz

Ok If I Go For A Intel 945gnt + 3ghz 800fsb Processor + 7600gs 256mb Gfx + 1gb Ddr2 533mhz , Will My System Be Future Proof. Is It A Good Combo.

If The Above Combo Is Not Good Then In Amd Can U Plz Tell Me A Good Config Of Processor + M/b Which Is Less Than 10k And Which Performs Equal To Pentium D.core ?

I recently buyed(purchased)

Processor : AMD Dual Core 3600+ - Rs 4600
Motherboard : gigabyte nvidia 6100 chipset - Rs 3700
RAM : 1GB Transcend 667Mhz DDR2 - Rs 5100

The system runs like a rocket

installed 3 antiviruses *norton , zonealarm, trand micro still not slowed down
get it ASAP and this gigabyte mobo has neat advanced realtek ALC883 7.1 onboard sound card.

or if u have more budget ..then i suggest u to get
Intel core2duo dual core E6300 processor or wait till FEB to prices fall down
