My motherboard has some fault and is under warranty. Does any1 know the intel support tel no ??

I was told that they will come home and pick up the motherboard and send it wherever for testing and get a replacement.

Plz lemme know. Thanks.

Why don't you just take it to your dealer and let him handle everything? After all, it is still under warranty.

I dont think Intel or anyone else for that matter will come to your place, pick up the mobo and give you a replacement. At least I have never heard of any such thing. It is not a car, bud, it is only a mobo.

actiually they do.
Go to intel.com and get the local india support email address and send them email. They will give ya the closest person to contact. they will get your mobo replaced provided its original Intel.
My friends 815 was replaced by them this way when the shop from which he bought disappeared :p

But you still have to contact that "closest" person and probably go there and hand over the board to them. Will they come and pick up your mobo from your place? I doubt that. If they do, then that is what I would call "support/service". And I will want it for everything else in my PC too. :)

no they came and picked it up and delivered it back.
It took a ong time to get his mobo replaced as 815 is no longer in production. But it was replaced. he was even offered an 865GB as an alternative but he did not had money to get new CPU so he wanted 815 back only and they did.

Wow....does AMD have anything like that? Maybe if I pull some caps of my nf2, i'll get a nf3 or nf4 as replacement???

I wonder if the Intel Folks offer international warranty.

Considering getting the 945 based Intel mobo with a P4 Extreme edition proc from the US via a friend..

It would be a risk if the mobo is not warranted over here..

Good discussion... but can we have some telephone numbers of intel support?

I have had a very bad experience with the 865gbf. I have 2 mobos coz i know one will get spoilt and then i will have to wait 2-3 weeks for a replacement. Sad it is.

Why ? Get an Pentium 4 D instead !!!

It's called money dude! The Dual core Intel Options are very expensive.

SO what do you guys think will Intel India provide support/warranty for the Mobo+cpu if i get it from abroad..

Extreme edition chips cost 999$. U nuts or something? For 600$ u'll get an X2 4400+ which will kill the XE in all apps (Yes I mean ALL with no exceptions). Pair it with a good NF4 Ultra board like DFI Lanparty NF ultra(130$) and some OCZ VX 3200(150$) and u have a smoking fast system!

Hello There,

I am Mangesh from Mumbai, I accidently come through this good source for hardware while searching for Intel MOBO Issue with me.

My problem start with the next month I upgrade my PC to Intel 2.4 processor and D845 GVSR MOBO.

I found that as I On any switch in my room PC get shudown, I contact my delar he ask me to contact Qualified Electrition and re-wiering connections again.

I expend Rs.1900.00 (A grade wire and switches) and ref. 3 certified electrtion but problem unsolved.

After 18 months I found Capaciter problem on MOBO and ask delar to repace it, he agree as MOBO is under 3 yrs. intel warranty period.

After 12 days he contact me and ask to take my MOBO from his office. With great shock I found that MOBO is changed and it's condition is verse than any 2nd Hand MOBO when ask reason delar say "Intel send repaired board to you in place of faulty".

Now my question is

1)Is my delar speak true as he hand over only MOBO in plastic bag and didn't give me any type of papers.
2)Why should I take such MOBO for which I am not sure whether it didn't creat any problem after warranty experied.
3)MOBO is D845GVSR but not my old one and also it's condition is very bad with heavy scratches on some of its steel parts.

Any suggestion Please

Thank You.

Well intel is only committed to giving you a motherboard which works... whether its new or old or scratched depends upon ur luck. If it fails again during the warranty period, they have to replace again. There's nothing much you can do regarding it other than spending money to buy a new board.

Thank You for Reply Chaos,

But they send MOBO with no socket for Processor Fan to attach and also my old steel panel which comes with MOBO not fit for this MOBO and my delar say that steel panel only comes with MOBO and now I have no option but to fix MOBO without Panel which requires to cover all back side sockets.

Can I ask my delear to re-send MOBO and forward my problem to related Intel Channel?

???????????

What model board did u give for RMA and what model did you get? Didn't get what you meant for no socket for processor fan :S. If its not equivalent or a better model than what you gave, then you can return and ask them for a replacement. Speak directly to the intel guys not thru ur useless dealer.
