Intel may have manipulated benchmarks for its Pentium 4 processors in order to hide the performance different against AMD's Athlon processors at the time. :wtf:

They should have penalised Intel to give 15$ off on the next purchase.
How will people prove they had bought one 12 years back.
Symbolic judgement looks like.

I don't think this will apply to us Indians, and as most of us wont have the bill, let along the P4 CPU (I still have mine, but the rest is all history) we wont be getting it.

I had a Pentium 4 Prescott for the longest time....went thru 2 motherboards and piles of ram to keep it running...

I had couple of them as well right from the HT ones to the Prescotts. Sold to needy TE members and gave some to needy friends for free.

Yeah me too. Have a 2.4ghz and 3.0ghz models running in the loft. Still have bills.
Anyways the penalty is valid only in US. Meaning... purchased in US. Once again we Indians are made fools.

Nice to know in US, big companies like intel get penalized and money awarded to customers. Dream of one day when Indian companies like Reliance, BSNL,Airtel,TATA,Vodaphone gets slapped with penalties and end customers get some money.
