Intel Working With Google To Port Android 4.1 Jelly Bean To Atom Based Devices
Indian mobile manufacturer Lava was first to launcht Intel Medfield powered smartphone - Xolo X900 . Other OEMs also partnered with Intel to launch Atom based smartphones .
The Xolo X900 and other Atom based devices were shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and still there is no sign of Android 4.0 ICS update , but there is good news for the owners. According to ComputerWorld report , Intel is working with Google to get the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ported to devices powered by Atom processors .
First the devices will get Android 4.0 ICS and then Android Jelly Bean will be rolled out . However , the timeframe has not been specified yet .
