Intercontinental transport advice

Okay, I put a really fancy thread name for courier advice I guess...
Basically I need to transport/relocate my stuff.
1. Want it to be secure and undamaged since I want to transport my computer which would be around 60kg in few boxes. plus few more boxes if possible.
2. Should be slow. no urgency. Actually I want it to reach after two months. or they should store it in their warehouse.
3. Across continents. from Sydney to US.
4. Some said that they would just give me half a container and I can fill it with what ever I can. is that really possible?
5. I would prefer if they pick up from my house rather than me taking the stuff to their shop. it would save a lot of trouble.

If anyone has any experience with such stuff please help me. Also any other advice would be appreciated.

My only experience was when my father did to move our car, large electronics, few furniture, few suitcases my mother likes from Muscat to Cochin in 1981. We took 1.5 containers. Since the car was involved customs was a headache.

And another instance, for my elder brother when he left Muscat he took like a extremely large metal box. Around 7 or 6 feet long to around 4 or 5 feet tall. This was in 2003. he got it via Air india Cargo to Trivandrum.
