One of the forums abroad did a survey of returns on computer component return rates. Will do you some good the next time you plan to buy some hardware. This study gives a good idea on reliability of various components and should hold you in good stead:

Points I found very interesting:
1. Mobo return rates around around 2%, with AMD boards having a return rate far higher than Intel boards. Asus has the highest return rate, mainly due to their AMD models..
2. In PSU's Antec seems to have the lowest return rate (which coincides with my PSU review earlier) and some of the FSP models have the worst. Antec has 4 basic models with ZERO return rates and Seasonic has two mid range models with ZERO return rates. And surprise, surprise, Corsair has the VX 550 at almost 7% return rates, which is probably the second highest in this test sample.
3. In GPU's Asus seems to fair far better, with PNY being the best (we dont get them here anyway) and XFX being the worst, which should probably come as no surprise to anyone. Another interesting point here is that AMD GPU's seem to have a higher return rate than Nvidia
4. HDD's seem to be between 1.5-3%, with Samsung and Seagate at the top and Hitachi at the bottom
5. In SSD's Intel manages to be the most reliable one with a return rate of 0.1% and OCZ the worst at around 4%...again this probably does not come as a surprise to anyone.
6. In Ram - Crucial has the lowest return rate (0.4%) with Gskill somewhere in between and OCZ again coming last. I guess this is why OCZ got out of the memory business anyway. One more surprise - Corsair is in the last two.
Thought this would make sense in the buying advice part of the forum the most.
