internet connection problem

My o/s, Windows 7 Ultimate, got corrupted and I had to reinstall it. After reinstallation, whenever I try to connect to broadband which is a wired connection, I get the pop-up ‘Additional login information may be required’ . Further, my connection has become slower also. Previously I was not facing these problems. Please help. Thanks

More details, like what sort of connection is it? Through cable, ADSL, Wifi etc..

Are you using Tikona as your ISP?

May be it is not installed properly..

My ISP is Airtel.I think it is installed properly since I'm not having problems in any thingelse.
It is a wired connection through Binatone ADSL 2 router.
