Internet disconnects frequently

i have cable internet connection....
some time it show connection live error something like that....sometime it disconnect without any messages...

i heard it happens with cable internet connection...

is there any software to keep the connection alive all the time (when i am connected..my net connection is not a unlimited connection..)

plz help me on this...

Even i hav a cable net but it never disconnects.

does the 'cable' light on the modem go off?

are you on a limited or unlimited plan?

does your area have enough cable tv signal strength?

If yours a Static IP and your using the local cable guys internet which is on LAN ,then it's kind of possible that someone else is trying to use your connection.

Do you get a message like " There is a IP conflict on the network" ?

The frequent disconnections make me feel someone's trying to use your IP.

why dont you complain to your ISP ?

Seems like a signal issue. As greenhorn asked is the cable light steady or does it blink. If its not steady and blinks frequently then you have signal issues, only Asianet can help you. Call their customer care and register a complaint.
