I deleted all APN in settings in my Android. But internet still works if i enable data in settings.
i have vodafone connection seems like it uses Mobile connect. I have Vodafone live plan but it still uses Mobile connect

I do not understand how does internet work even if i delete all APN's

He is asking abt the general tendency of the Android functionality to actually make the vodafone mobile connect work with a vodafone live plan, which normally wouldnt work in any other phone... atleast not without settings !

btw i too have Vodafone Live UL plan @99 (corp) but it was automatically converted (infact for all my 7 numbers) into vodafone connect although its still being called as VLU plan..

other members with vodafone and android might be able to help

NO.. it's not an Android functionality... Vodafone automatically assign APN i guess.

I have used Nokia C3 and Palm pre 2 w.o any APN configuration with my vodafone sim.. However when i switch any other sim (MTNL in my case) i need to configure APN to access internet service...

the problem is that even if i have VL selected when my bill comes it contains almost all VMC usage which makes the bill huge (2.5K last month).

CC rep says that this will happen if you use apps as they use VMC by default. Also there is no way to track what APN your mobile is using i.e. how much VL or VMC you have used until you get your bill. After a lot of fighting i finally got it reversed and will be reflected in next bill. but i cannot do it every month and android is useless without internet. also you cannot deactivate VMC as it is a part of core service now like "SMS"
