Following Spice, now Intex has launched a smartphone called Cloud FX and its priced at only 1999 INR making it the cheapest available smartphone in India, as of today.

Key config:

Rear Camera - 2-megapixel
Battery capacity - 1250mAh

Specs aren't everything.. its the experience which matters. Remember older smartphones with shitty specifications. but they still worked because they offered good functionality and features.

Just for curiosity I bought this. Was delivered ~45mins back. IMO, except for screen resolution, its not that bad. UI is quite fast. Much better than what some reviews say. I thought I had a micro SD but looks like ive lost it. Will have to wait a day or two get test this with more mem. I am hoping this works with larger cards (specs say max 4GB).

If the AQ and battery is decent , I will use this for jogs/walks/car. Else will be gifted away.

Nice. A mini review would be good. However, im curious why dint u wait for the spice one which has 256 mb ram and a front cam as well.

@srkmish - Are you sure Mi Fx 1 has 256mb? I bought this on 27th or 28th and there was hardly any info on it.

One more thing is I might not use it as a phone :). As said above, I just bought it out of curiosity. The differences I saw was front cam and 1400mah batt. I dont need the cam and maybe 150mah would have added to battery life a bit.

Update - Had the first crash. Restarted and saw that batt had drained by 12%. Battery is down to 48% from ~1PM.
Usage -
Played music (got a 512mb card) ~3.5hr
Explored apps ~20mins
My wife did the same ~20mins

Display - ~40% brightness
volume - ~50%

How is the battery life with normal usage?

@Mechanic Yet to try this out as a phone. Will probably do that over the weekend. Battery lasted ~23hours with low - moderate use.

@srkmish not that good. I would say somewhere between bad - average. Would have to set the volume to 70%+ for earphones and both high and low ends are clipped. Sounds like Im listening to bajans.
EDIT: It could also be me. Dont have anyhting other than a PL30 to test with. And I dont like PL30 itself.

1 +ve thing - It can read 16gb SD cards (but no use due to sound quality). Yet to transfer files over. Will update on this tonight.

One more update - This is the 2nd instance. The phone would have switched off randomly. And it cannot be switched back on using the button. I have to remove the battery, put it back again and then switch it on. Not looking good.

@srkmish I have been using it just as a mp3 player in aeroplane mode. I have to say that the battery life is pretty good. I charged it last friday and was playing music whenever I was driving (8+ hours), just checked the battery and its showing 67%. Still need to test it as a phone. Hopefully will do that this weekend.
