Inverter AC or Normal split AC

Hello everyone,

I am resident of North Karnataka. I live in single floor house that has been built with out pillars, only rock walls(2 ft thick) support and concrete roof that receive direct sunlight. I want to purchase an AC(Split type only) for my living room(size: 350 sq ft) which is attached to a passage without doors( curtains only). Room has two small windows that can be covered with doors. My AC usage will be less than 8 hours(not continuous) in 24 hr cycle for about 4-5 months in a year. Please recommend:-

1. Should i go for Inverter AC or split AC? If split, is 3 star will do?
2. Not much Cooling effect is required as it is bigger room with open passage and parents prefer normal room temperature upto 28 C.
3. Which company product and any specific model?
4. Bit concerned about power usage as well.
5. Should i go for online purchase? How about installation, if i purchase online?
6. Which is better the online discounts or the discounts by shop owners?

Go for the Normal Split AC, No use of inverter AC as the room is open.

I bought a 1.5ton Voltas 3 star Split Inverter AC last month. The electricity bill is yet to arrive so can't comment on how much power it consumes. Have been using it for around 8 hours everyday. Cost me 38k including standard installation and stabilizer. Had to pay extra for the bracket to hold the outdoor unit.

Cools pretty quickly and is quiet if the fan speed is kept to low.

even i bought onida 1.5 Inverter Marvel - SA185MVL ac last 6 month for same price with install around 6 meter extra and free stabilizer where i set the ac to 25-29*c average daily 8-12 hour where i did paid the bill come to 1k per month which i was super happy past 6 month show same 1k

Notice this Onida latest model come with R410 latest gas refrigerant which it is better than r-22 and old model and less maintenance cost which i can clean it myself

The Voltas also comes with R410A gas. Full copper and Voltas service is what made me get this model.
