The Hitachi doesn't mention an operating temperature range. Look through the spec sheets of ACs to find if they operate upto 52C. I find that most Inverter ACs are spec'ed upto a max 46C operation.
But more importantly, your required AC cooling capacity is directly linked to the temperature delta (difference between room temperature and outside temperature).
If your room temp is set at 25C, and outside temp is 40C, the temp delta is only 15C.
If your room temp is set at 25C, and outside temp is 50C, the temp delta is 25C.
The second scenario has nearly twice the temp delta, so obviously the required AC cooling capacity also needs to be doubled, i.e. if a 1 Ton AC is sufficient at 40C ambient temps, you will need approx 2 Tons at 50C ambient temps.
Another thing you can compare is the dimension of the outdoor unit (ODU). A bigger ODU tends to be easier to cool in hotter temperatures.
