WTB iOS 16 supporting iPhone(s)

Looking for an older generation cheap iPhone, 8 or SE 2nd generation, to basically try the iOS and the Apple ecosystem at a lower cost before taking the plunge. Physically, the screen should be intact, can live with a few scratches on the body but the screen should be good. Battery life if poor then should be priced accordingly. Thus budget is elastic, depending upon the phone's condition.
