Iphone 3g 128kb sim detection Problem..!!

Hello,

well i just bought one from airtel retail store.. its running on 2.2.1 and 02.30.03. my problem is that i have a 128k demo sim.. whenever i put it inside the phone.. it just says no sim even after rebooting.... i even for that cause got my sim replaced with a new one thats also a 128kb one.. same problem.. i googled a bit and found that 128,256 and 64 all are supposed to wok on iphone..i hope that some one might throwq some light and help me out in this..

This might sound stupid, but you are using an Airtel card right ?

Cause the phone from Airtel store would be locked to run only their sim.

And from your problem, it seems you are using a different Carrier Sim ?

^^ Nopes re.. i am using an airtel demo sim.. and all 64k airtel cards are accepted in the phone..

Did'nt you check the phone with the sim when you bought it???

This happens, you need to get your SIM replaced. Compare the 64k sim with the 128K and the contacts will be smaller. Was happening to one of my clients.
