Firstly you need to describe your requirements specifically, as iphone 3GS comes in 3 different variant (i.e. 8GB, 16GB, 32GB)... Also, you have choices to go for a “brand new iOS device”, “Factory Seconds” or even “Refurbished”...

Buying a brand new gadget has its own charm (although you are showing your desire towards iphone 3GS, which technologically speaking is not a new model in the market. Right???) So refurbished one is not only a good option here to save your hard-earned money but a good alternative to go the best, when seeing the market scenario.

Here is the list of refurbished options:

* If you are looking for Refurbished Apple iPhone 3GS in 8GBVariant (at a cost of 9k) then you may prefer Green Dust.

* If you are looking to buy Refurbished Apple iPhone 3GS in 32GB Variant (under 10k), then you may visit gobol.in (www.gobol.in/apple-iphone-3gs-a1303-black-and-silver.html).

* Also ebay is offering refurbished iphone 3GS devices, but I personally do not have good experience with them (as they import from outside which lacks in consumer service facilities if something goes wrong.

Member selling iphone 3gs for 3000-3500 and i want to use as a second phone because i am already using Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
 
I doubt you can get iphone in that range & even if u will get it the quality would be really questionable... It's ur choice but refurbished is always a better choice over second hand disaster....

iPhone 3GS even though old, will still command a premium when you want to buy second hand. I highly doubt you would get a 3GS for under 5K.
 
My cousin sold his iphone 3gs and swapped a new iphone 5s last week
The dealer deducted 7500 for his phone was in ok ok working manner
 
Yups... I second raksrules that getting 2nd hand iphone under 5K is rare possibility. The idea behind buying refurbished gadget is the assured warrnty they carry. Sometimes it's manufacturer & often seller warranty. Go buy from a reputed online store with proper warranty.
