iPhone 4 warranty

Is the iPhone 4 locked/ unlocked eligible for international warranty ?
Mobile techies, need info about this urgently.

No. You wont get any iPhone warranty in India unless you have bought it from the official channel. ie. Mobile carriers like Airtel,Vodafone etc when they launch it or incase Apple decides to launch factory unlocked directly from Apple Store.

All the iPhones currently selling in gray market .Software unlocked as well as factory unlocked do not have any warranty. You might be able to claim warranty from the country of origin in some cases.

But what about factory unlocked ones, they are not tied to any n/w provider.

So, will apple India provide warranty in that case ? , if factory unlocked ones are launched in India.

Also, when will it actually launch, dont see any hope till next year.

Factory unlocked also wont have any warranty in India. Atleast that was the case with 3GS. Apple stores in India never handled any sales/ after sales of iPhones.

Ok, thanks for the info. Any idea when is it gonna be launched, and at what price ? Rumors all around, that its gonna launch in October end.
