iOS iPhone 4S - Any good for making/receiving calls?

Don't kill me for asking this, but just checking.

iPhone 4S - Any good for making/receiving calls? Or as all networks are on 4G now, it won't work at all?

Have one with battery issue. Was thinking whether to replace battery (something compatible, not original) and use it for making/receiving calls.

Or not possible at all?

yes it will work with 2g/3g networks

Most metros have switched off 3g . So 2g only , and as I have a 4s too it's very slow . Almost certainly unusable .

You'd be better off using a cheap dumbphone for the same price (maybe even lesser) than a battery replacement
