ok firstly how do u transfer music and pictures on the iphone using itunes, have got itunes 7.5 from the apple site yesterday itself. using version 1.1.1, also need to know how to install and send game and apps files from the pc to the phone, confusing stuff. also the sms sent by banks, do iphone users get it normally or does it come in russian alien language with weird numbers... help needed asap. cheers
 
itunes 7.5 works perfectly fine for me when it comes to transferring music, photos, video, contacts etc.

If you want to send games and apps to the phone, your iPhone has to have SSH installed. Just for reference I use independence on my powerbook to do this. I think you'll have to use ibrickr for windows machines. But I'm not sure whether ibrickr works on 1.1.1 phones.

nah man all cool im not lazy man im dumb. if i was lazy i would have never sat down to unlock the phones itself. really i have read and stuff. its just that my first mac so im having tons of issues and iphone is not very common. ure the only smart fellow since u had it first. i guess ill try reading elsewhere. if ppl wanna help here please feel free to thanks a lot. also how to install files from windows pc to phone. ill try the itunes for sure. music i can install now but the pics i still am hving issues with. i just got adobe photo album they say u can do it with it lets see now.
 
music: set a new playlist called iphones or whatever...set your iphone to sync songs from it (prefernces>iphone>music)...drag and drop songs that you want on the phone from your library to this playlist and sync

Photos: create a new album called iphone or whatever,,,,set your iphone to sync pics from it (prefernces>iphone>photos)...drag and drop pics that you want on the phone from your complete album to this new album and sync...

similarly for videos too

thanks a lot i got the music working. pics and videos im struggling with since they refuse to work or i guess im not working right. what about stuff to install from desktop to phone, how does one do that ?

i dont have apptapp i have installer it does have a lot of things but i want to know whats what before i install. are there more programs like this which have about 50 multiple installers. how about some sites and stuff for games and apps and misc about the iphone. ok main ? i want to ask is if i RESET the phone and its settings there is a option will my phone be locked again or just everything will get erased. like in nokia u have reset user settings it formats everything and back to stock. like that is apple the same way or different
 
Apptapp = Installer. And yes, you can reset your iPhone as you please. It will not get locked or deactivated or anything. Just don't do a restore through itunes!
 
ok i got the pics to upload somehow i dunno :). but the problem is that certain pics are not getting uploaded at all, some are perfect and some come distorted. any reason why this is happening, also i have read on some forums too that they are suffering for this problem. i am thinking im tired with one iphone and i still have ordered 5 more. god knows what ill do when they come in. i am doing all on windows computer using vista ultimate. why are the pics not comin clear though and some not uploading at all in the phone. also is there a file expolrer that i can use to sort out stuff. now videos i need to find out. what extentions are supported by the iphone ? .avi works ??? thanks a lot ppl for ur inputs im gettin somewhere now my ego wants to master MAC
 
but there should be no need to...I have absolutely no issues whatsoever with photos , videos or music...

itunes should automatically take care of the conversions for photos if needed

the binding thread with all things Apple is that things should just work...i.e. the user should not have to bother with silly stuff e.g. resizing pics to transfer them to a phone

Jesal, why don't you post the exact details...the software you are using to do the transfers and the exact steps you took

OT: WTH are you going to with 5 iphones :O
 
see music i am knowing how to transfer so lets forget it ok, thanks for everything all of u. now in pics lets say i put 2 pics one of 60kb and other of 25kb they come in perfect no issues. if i put like 850kb then it does not sync at all on the phone it says its syncing and shows everything, but on phone only those 2 small pics come. so whats happening i dunno. wht version are u ppl on here ? im on 1.1.1 see its for sure im not the only one facing the problems ill hunt more forums now. i have one pic of dad half pic is proper and bottom half there is a dark patch over the whole pic. if nothing ill try taking some shots. for me as of now this phone is good for yes and no of answering calls. want more details or u ppl understood. i might be dumb but i know im not doing anything wrong in this now for sure. its like it has a brain of its own only
 
most annoying phone i have ever bought in my life. i was a master of windows and nokia then i was a jack by using MAC based phone. i did what was best in my case. sold the phone and got a n95 8 giga..... rest of the 2 of the 5 iphones i ordered are here but are sold. other 3 coming if left ill sell it here or something. big mistake i made by buying this.... such a good phone annoying to use with windows vista. some ppl here might still find it easy but i surely did and i guess that is the reason i sold my ipod also in a week and also iphone in a week. , people who are looking to buy the phone please do so its good really it is. i dint get used to it. highlight was remember when i said pics were not coming good on the phone i found out it needs to be sent from a FAT formatted drive and not a NTFS. beat that. it was that bad. apple also knows this problem. ill just wait for iphone nano now lol or whatever later is comin or official in india. till then no iphone thank u very much.
