iPhone Fw 1.1.4 or 2.0 ?

Hi guys, i presently run firmware 1.1.4 in my iphone which is jailbroken using iLiberty plus software, the phone works fine but have the following problems

1.Signal catching is pretty weak
2.Under TIME, WEATHER etc, even if i change the location to my local area, once i close it and reopen it , it 'll again show the same city which was there at 1st(some city in U.S)

one of my friend told to stick on to 1.1.4 only as it is more good and has more good applications. . . Is it true guys? Pls suggest and also remedy for my above probs . . .

Just get Fw 2.1, its the most recent Fw and is much more feature rich and bug free than 1.xx ones.

Upgrade to 2.1 without second thoughts.

1. It might help improve the signal a bit (different basebands). But dont expect miracles.

2. How did you change the area ? What happens when you flick left/right in the weather app ?

2.x has far more/better apps than 1.1.4! But ultimately depends on which app you are talking about. If there is one you cant live without, let us know. We will tell you if you can use it on 2.x or if there are alternatives.

I changed the location to my city, which is Manglore, and updated the weather , it works fine but when i closes it and open it again for next time, it shows not my city but the one which was there at first. . .

I need apps like agile messenger or any other one which can connect me to yahoo , gtalk , msn at a time..

You can use fringe which has just been released ... can connect to Yahoo, ICQ, Twitter as well as make VOIP calls using MSN, SIP or Skype

whats more it's a free download at the app store
