IPhone or (Ipod touch+phone)

hey folks!
i just wanted to know which is a better deal-

1. to buy an ipod touch and a mobile phone (15k + 10k) OR
2. buy an iphone ( 25K used one from TE)

i decided to go for an ipod touch + mobile phone. the one drawback is that you won't have internet on-the-go on your ipod touch as it is restricted to wifi.

it is a pain to carry the touch and the mobile together

i also have a ipod touch and mobile sometimes i feel tht it would have been better if i would have gone for iphone

Get an iPhone. I was in a similar dilemma before. Had an iPod Touch 2G 16GB previously. Sold it and got myself an iPhone 3G 8GB so I need not carry a phone and an mp3 player with me all the time.

I think it is better to have an ipod touch and a separate iphone :

The battery life in the iphone suffers a lot because of all the background phone crap, so it will definitely reduce the amount of game time as such. The only drawback as stated is internet connectivity being limited only to wifi and also the fact of carrying two devices.

I carry a simple phone that lasts me 3 - 4 days charge easily where in I can talk at lengths without worrying. While I can play in my spare time as well without having to worry about my phone getting switched off because of low battery.

So I think it is better to keep the two things separate.

Speed depends on your phone's network connection, its good enough to use messengers on the ipod, browsing is slow(just like on phones with a gprs connection) but its better than no internet. iPod needs to be jailbroken to use and its pretty complicated to configure it properly, but once thats done works like a charm.

Go for iphone 3gs or 3g any day .

Audio quality equivalnet to ipod , internet on Wifi + Edge + 3g [ Dont know when 3g is coming to India ] . Can also act as portable gaming device . Good to watch movies + Camera .

3gs if your budget permits,otherwise ipod touch+a phone,DO NOT go for a 3g.You should consider battery life if you intend to use iphone primarily for music or video.
